India is divided into four parts according to direction. North India, South India, East India, and West India. There are many geographical regions in North India. Mountains, plateaus, plains, etc. are found in this. This is the northern part of India. The Himalayan mountain range and the plains of the Ganges are its geographical parts. The Himalayan mountain range separates India from Central Asia and Tibet. North India has been the historical centre of the Haryanka dynasty, Shishunag dynasty, Nanda dynasty, Maurya dynasty, Gupta dynasty, Mughal dynasty, and British empires. Three important kings in the Haryanka dynasty were Bimbisara, Ajatashatru, and Udayana. Bimbisara had got Kasi kingdom in dowry. Aajatshatru became the king after killing his father. Ajatashatru was a follower of Jainism and later adopted Buddhism. He had met Gautam Buddha earlier in his life. Udayana , Ajatashatru became the successor. He founded the city of Pataliputra and shifted his capital from Rajgir to Pataliputra.
The Maurya dynasty was founded by Chandragupta Maurya and Chanakya. There were three prominent kings of the Maurya Empire. Emperor Chandragupta Maurya, Emperor Bindusara and Emperor Ashoka the Great.
It is a Hindu pilgrimage site from North India. Kedarnath, Rishikesh, Badrinath, and Haridwar, from Gangotri in the mountains to Banaras in the plains. There are also many world heritage sites like the Taj Mahal, and Mahabodhi Temple. Muslim pilgrimage site Ajmer Sharif. in north India

Haridwar is the main religious city of India which is in Uttarakhand. Here Ganga bath and Ganga Aarti take place in the evening. Many people come from far-off places to see Ganga Aarti. Here Gangotri, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri, Dev Prayag, and Karan Prayag all together form the small Chardham in Uttarakhand. Which is one of the holiest places of Hinduism. Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Badrinath is to Lord Vishnu. Rishikesh is the main place for yoga in India. Nanda Devi is the highest mountain here. There are many tourist places in Uttarakhand. Tourists come here from all over the world.
